Megan Marks, Project Officer of Noosa Council, has invited Community Groups to nominate members for this very interesting course:

“As a follow-up to the Changing Face of Volunteering Forum in May, we are now offering 50 places for local community group members to attend a Masterclass aimed at volunteer recruitment.

The masterclass is to be held Thursday 14 September, 9.00am-12.30pm, at CQU Campus, 90 Goodchap St, Noosaville.  The masterclass is hosted by Brisbane-based Mark Creyton, a volunteering expert with over 25 years experience in the industry.

As there are only 50 places available, if you would like someone from your group to attend, can you please nominate a person who is directly involved in recruiting volunteers. This way your group will get the most out of this masterclass.

It’s a matter of those who nominate first get to attend, so get in quick.  RSVP here.

We look forward to hearing from you”.

Permaculture Noosa President Tim Peek had this to say about the course:

“Hello everyone,

I would like to do a call out to our members to find a volunteer coordinator to volunteer for this course.
Almost unanimously the members supported and encouraged us to sign for the Cooroy Community Garden – a huge responsibility. We encourage the same members to step up and support in a practical way and the most practical way at this time is to assume the responsibility of being a Volunteer coordinator. I would like to have at least two people and preferably three people, (a ‘Troika’ which we’ve talked about already as a group), attend the course and be willing to be the start of a team of volunteers in the community garden.
Best regards,
