Saturday April 9th

Our first open garden for 2022 features not one but two gardens, a few doors from each other in a suburban street in Pomona.

Both are inspiring, productive gardens (although they are relatively new) and showcase many ideas as to how permaculture principles can be applied in a suburban backyard.

There’ll be two tours of each garden, one commencing at 9.15am and one at 10.30am, so you will have the chance to tour both gardens. After the tours there will be a shared morning tea.

Time 8:45 am – 9am for registration (Tours will start at 9:15am)

Address 9 Sandy Street Pomona

Cost $2 for Permaculture Noosa Members

$5 for Yandina and Gympie Community Gardens Members

Children under 16 free

You must be a current member of one of these clubs to attend.

You can become a member on the day or online by visiting permaculturenoosa.com.au

Sunday April 24th

The size of your property should not deter you from setting up a Permaculture Garden.

Dan Deighton, a member of the Living Classroom Team, has invited us to visit his property in Cooran. He has joined forces with his neighbour and together they have merged their properties into one.

Dan is passionate about building soils and will show us, amongst other things, how he creates compost using a No-Dig method.

There is so much to see and learn on this small parcel of land!

If you would like to join us for a cuppa and a chat afterwards, please bring a plate to share.

Time 9:30 am – 9:45 for registration (Tour will start at 10:00am)
