The size of your property should not deter you from setting up a Permaculture Garden.

Dan Deighton, a member of the Living Classroom Project Team, has invited us to visit his property in Cooran. He has joined forces with his neighbour and together they have merged their properties into one.

Dan is passionate about building soils and will show us, amongst other things, how he creates compost using a No-Dig method.

There is so much to see and learn on this small parcel of land!

If you would like to join us for a cuppa and a chat afterwards, please bring a plate to share.

April 9th Recap

We began this year’s open gardens by visiting two abundant neighbouring gardens in a street in Pomona. It was great to see what can be achieved in a suburban space and to have the chance to ask lots of questions. We came away inspired to consider the diverse ways in which the permaculture principles and ethics can be applied, together with lots of practical ideas to implement in our own gardens. A very big thank you to our hosts Chantal and Amy.
