December Club Night

After a last minute lockdown in August, we had to cancel our Club Night and with it, cancel our guest speaker Local Permaculture legend Tom Kendall. We are thrilled to say that Tom is joining us for our final Club Night of the year!

Tom is a permaculture farmer with over 40 years farming experience and a broad acre agriculture background. He is co-founder of the not-for-profit organisation PermEco Inc. (previously Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast Inc.) as well as being involved with many other projects. The Kendall Permaculture Farm has been a work in progress since 2005. Tom has established many interconnected systems on the farm. These systems feed into and support one another and are essential to the sustainability and self-sufficiency of the farm. We look forward to hearing Tom share his wisdom of Permaculture systems at our December Club Night event!

ALSO…. Tom and his wife Zaia are donating a fresh Produce Box for our community Christmas Raffle! You are also welcome to bring anything you wish to donate to add to the Christmas raffle, whether it be excess produce, homemade goodies or little crafty bits and bobs! We will also be welcoming you all to join us for a “bring a Christmassy plate” or “gold coin” shared FESTIVE supper after the meeting and of course for a chat!

November Club Night Recap

For those who joined us at our November Club Night will know, it was all about the BUGS!! We enjoyed our local Entomologist Luke Halling educate us on what type of bugs live in our gardens, and they’re not all bad. If you missed Luke speak then I have a treat for you. Below is the audio link to his talk from that night. Also, Luke is joining us in the Cooroy Community Permaculture Garden this Sunday Nov 21st to give us a garden tour to explore all things BUGS!

Permaculture Noosa monthly meetings are held at the Cooroy Memorial Hall on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 6:00 pm, when a market takes place, where we share surplus home grown produce and plants by giving, exchanging, or selling. At 6:30 pm our presentation begins which includes an interesting guest speaker each month.

Entry is a $5 donation for non-members. There is no charge for members.

Do consider bringing friends or neighbours to our meetings. It’s how we grow the group and may be inspiring to them as well. As always, you will leave the meeting better informed!

To find out more, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

See you there……

Anyone who has genuine financial difficulties and cannot afford the entry donation will be excused. We will not turn anyone away.
