November club night is all about BUGS! The good and the bad.

Luke Halling will be our guest speaker. Luke is an Entomologist with 20 years of experience in agricultural, forest and environmental pest surveillance, insect identification, training and advice on behalf of the Federal Government. Luke travelled extensively for this work across northern Australia and our External Territories, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Solomon Islands and East Timor. He has taught entomology in Laos, studied honeybee behaviour in Thailand and discovered new species of insects in Australia. He now resides on the Sunshine Coast. Bring along any bugs you catch from your garden for a bit of ‘show and tell’. Luke will try to identify the bug and give you some tips! Luke will also be leading a bug garden tour at Cooroy Community Permaculture Gardens at the November club day. Stay tuned for more details!

ALSO…. we will be having our popular community raffle! Bring anything you wish to donate to the raffle, whether it be excess produce, homemade goodies or little crafty bits and bobs! We will also be welcoming you all to join us for a “bring a plate” or “gold coin” shared supper after the meeting and of course for a chat! See you then!

October Club Night Recap

October club night was a wonderful night with guest speaker Leonie Shanahan. Leonie is an amazing person – gardener and author – and her experience with Lymes disease demonstrates her resilience, determination and humility. We feel very grateful to have her as part of our community and thank her for sharing her story.

Permaculture Noosa monthly meetings are held at the Cooroy Memorial Hall on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 6:00 pm, when a market takes place, where we share surplus home grown produce and plants by giving, exchanging, or selling. At 6:30 pm our presentation begins which includes an interesting guest speaker each month.

Entry is a $5 donation for non-members. There is no charge for members.

Do consider bringing friends or neighbours to our meetings. It’s how we grow the group and may be inspiring to them as well. As always, you will leave the meeting better informed!

To find out more, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

See you there……

Anyone who has genuine financial difficulties and cannot afford the entry donation will be excused. We will not turn anyone away.
