Our guest speaker this month is Terri Waller. Terri is an Educator, Café Owner, Charity Operator, runs Galure Farm and is deeply passionate about the children that follow us and what we are leaving for them.

Terri and her mob are making social change happen, one cup of Dirty Myrtle at a time at Deadly Espresso Café in Eumundi. She also runs a social enterprise that aims to create wellness through connection and relationships – SevGen. SevGen is short for “seven generations”, named for the Indigenous belief that today’s actions will affect seven generations into the future.

Terri will be providing a tasting opportunity for us all. For $5 a plate, you have the chance to sample and learn about some of the local Bush Tucker. All proceeds are going to assist Terri in making change.

SevGen is a Registered Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC) Charity

February Club Night Recap

What an amazing night! Morag Gamble is a Permaculture celebrity and really drew a crowd. We are proud to say we raised $1500 that night for the Ethos Foundation where the proceeds are going directly to support an entire class of Permayouth to gain their Permaculture Design Certificates in Kalobeyei Refugee Settlement in north-western Kenya (nearby to Kakuma refugee settlement). Here is a link to her talk if you missed it.

Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Markets: Plants, Seeds, Produce and more! You are welcome to share surplus home grown produce and plants by giving, exchanging, or selling

At 6:30 pm our presentation begins.

Raffle: Our community raffle is a community effort. Please bring anything you wish to donate to the raffle, whether it be excess produce, homemade goodies or little crafty bits and bobs!

Shared Supper: We welcome you all to join us for a “bring a plate” or “gold coin” shared supper after the meeting and of course for a chat! This helps us out greatly with hall hire and other expenses on the night.

Entry is a $5 donation for non-members. There is no charge for members.

Do consider bringing friends or neighbours to our meetings. It’s how we grow the group and may be inspiring to them as well. As always, you will leave the meeting better informed!

To find out more, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

See you there……

Anyone who has genuine financial difficulties and cannot afford the entry donation will be excused. We will not turn anyone away.
