On Club Night in July, we welcomed Amber from Kandanga Farm Store. Amber shared her experience of regenerative agriculture and the realities of running a farm store that doesn’t sell glyphosate! It’s fantastic to have such a wonderful example of full circle “farm to fork” in our community. Be sure to check out the farm store and cafe in Kandanga.
Local Permaculture legend Tom Kendall will be joining us for our August Club Night. Tom is a permaculture farmer with over 40 years farming experience and a broad acre agriculture background. He is co-founder of the not-for-profit organisation PermEco Inc. (previously Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast Inc.) as well as being involved with many other projects. The Kendall Permaculture Farm has been a work in progress since 2005. Tom has established many interconnected systems on the farm. These systems feed into and support one another and are essential to the sustainability and self-sufficiency of the farm. We look forward to hearing Tom share his wisdom of Permaculture systems at our August Club Night event!
ALSO…. Don’t forget the community raffle! Bring anything you wish to donate to the raffle, whether it be excess produce, homemade goodies or little crafty bits and bobs! We will also be welcoming you all to join us for a “bring a plate” or “gold coin” shared supper after the meeting and of course for a chat! See you on the 6th of July!
Permaculture Noosa monthly meetings are held at the Cooroy Memorial Hall on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 6:00 pm, when a market takes place, where we share surplus home grown produce and plants by giving, exchanging, or selling. At 6:30 pm our presentation begins which includes an interesting guest speaker each month.
Entry is a $5 donation for non-members. There is no charge for members.
Do consider bringing friends or neighbours to our meetings. It’s how we grow the group and may be inspiring to them as well. As always, you will leave the meeting better informed!
