We are back and boy oh boy we are excited to catch up with you all! On August 16 we will be hosting our first ‘Club Day’ at the Cooroy Community Permaculture Gardens in lieu of our usual monthly Club Nights. We thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful sunshine, the cool weather and the fresh air. You will also see our gardens are growing, thriving and happy due to the hard work of our awesome volunteers.
On that day we will be running a number of activities.
Starting at 9am we will have our wonderful SEED SAVERS group sorting, packing, sharing and learning.
Running alongside this will be the WORKING BEE in our beautiful gardens, enjoying the sunshine, getting our hands dirty and tending to this gorgeous space of ours!
The HARVEST SWAP will run between 10am and 10.45am. We invite you to bring excess produce, plant cuttings, home baked goodies, preserves, even empty jars to swap for what you think is a fair exchange for what you contributed—money-less system!
PLANT and SEED SALES will also be happening on the day—what else could you want!!
To wrap up the day we will have an excellent PRESENTATION from Maria, a local herbalist, mother of two, naturopath and massage therapist, who will be sharing the medicinal, culinary and health benefits of the humble ginger!
Mark your calendar—August 16 from 9 am to midday at Cooroy Community Permaculture Gardens, 26 Emerald Street, Cooroy. Pack your garden clothes, a couple of bucks for some plants and a big smile. Cannot wait to catch up with you!
