For years I have been making this remedy to combat the dreaded winter woes. This recipe came from a Medical Herbalist in NSW, Susan Quin back in the 90’s. It is great for Colds, Sore Throats, Congestion, Coughs and Bronchitis. I highly recommend it, so give it a go!

Onion Syrup

  1. Take one large onion and peel it.
  2. Slice it into small sections.
  3. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Let it stand for 3-4 hours.
  5. Pour off the syrup from the onion into a jar or bottle with a lid.
  6. Take one teaspoonful every half hour for acute conditions, or as required.
  7. Store in the refrigerator. Will keep for up to one week.
