Vegetarian/Vegan Cooking Classes

The next Turn Over a New Leaf-inspired cooking classes will be held at Linda’s place at Rosemount on the following days:

JANUARY: Wednesday 14th; Saturday 31st

FEBRUARY: Sunday 8th; Friday 20th

MARCH: Friday 6th; Saturday 21st; Sunday 29th

APRIL Saturday 11th; Wednesday 22nd

The interactive classes go for approximately 3 hours and cost $45.00.  Depending on numbers, we will make seven dishes from scratch - everyone gets to make one dish each - and you will enjoy a shared meal at the finish, tasting the results of your hard work.

Starting time for each class is 11am sharp and arrival from 10.45am would be appreciated.

Class size is limited to seven and bookings are essential.

The Turn Over a New Leaf range of books will be available for purchase on the day with a $5.00 discount off the recommended retail price.

Transition Town Workshops -December 5th

Transition Sunshine Coast is proud to announce upcoming Transition Town* workshops. If you are interested in learning how to establish a transition initiative in your community, then this is the course for you. [*See www.transitiontowns.org or www.transitionculture.org for more information on Transition Towns] The Sunshine Coast became Australia’s first Transition Initiative in September 2007 after delivering the successful Time for an Oil Change energy descent action planning course, establishing the Sunshine Coast Energy Action Centre (www.seac.net.au) as a community education centre focussed on positive solutions to climate change and peak oil, and also for it’s part as a catalyst for Australia’s first Energy Descent Action Plan (EDAP).

Transition Towns are becoming increasingly popular around the world as people decide to take real action in making the move from oil dependency to local resilience in their local area. These workshops will give you the skills and tools to do the same in your community and join the rapidly growing Australian network. The principles you will learn are adaptable at a household, street and community level and as with the Sunshine Coast, across an entire region.

Permaculture Noosa Meeting-Thursday 20 November

Are you interested in coming along to see what Permaculture Noosa is all about?

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, so our next meeting will be on Thursday, 20 November at the RSL Hall at Cooroy. This month Andrew Webb from WD Architects in Cooran will introduce Lance Karl of Ausbale. He is one of a handful of Australian builders with a license endorsed for Straw Bale construction

From 7pm we hold a Marketplace, which includes Permaculture plants and seeds for sale and experienced people to talk to if you have questions, with the meeting beginning at 7.30pm.  You are welcome to stay for supper (gold coin donation) and a chat after the meeting .
